Interpreting the world through fashion art
Hey, future flairans! I’m super excited that you are here to learn more about flairandenigma. In a nutshell: flairandenigma is a fashion art studio based in California; it’s the name I go by as an artist and the name of the main fashion art collection that I am working on.
The Main Collection is an ongoing body of work that shows my progression as an artist over time. In this body of work, the theme and the subject are constant. The theme of the collection is travel. The subject is a fashion face.
The idea is to capture moments from different destinations and interpret them into wearable fashion mementos that can resonate with a viewer or art collector.
The year, 2023, marks the starting point of this project; with the release of the first 18 hand sketched fashion face digital illustrations. This collection subset is inspired by a trip to Ojai, California.

Flairandenigma: The Artist
As an artist, my goal is to capture a moment from an experience and interpret it into fashion art. That moment can emphasize an object, activity, emotion or sensation; with the ultimate intention to resonate with the viewer.
In addition to resonance, I strive to achieve originality, visual unity, and texture in each art collection.
Originality stems from my actual encounter with the source of inspiration and is carried through my art style that melds techniques from post impressionism, pointillism, and pop art. Visual unity is achieved by creating harmony in each fashion art piece as it stands alone and as part of a collection. Texture is emphasized in the artwork’s background through the use of painterly brushstrokes.
